1st Morning on Trail Breakfast

Rutabaga, Baby Kale, Italian Seasoning, Spicy Italian Chicken Sausage

Some folks will think I'm crazy to cart this into a backpack trip but it is such a treat to wake up the first morning and make a really satisfying breakfast.  I use a cheese grater to grate the rutabaga, then stir fry this in olive oil with the spicing (feel free to add an onion as well), after a few minutes, add the baby kale and the sausage links cut into disks.  When it is finished, you will have a dish that tastes almost like pad thai noodles and a super hardy breakfast.

Final Product - Add any hot sauce that works for you
